Development of the Healthy Smiles curriculum was guided by the staff of the National Training Institute for Child Care Health Consultants (NTI). The technical development of this training course was guided by Jerry Calleson, George Field, and Andrew Ochs of the Online Instruction Group (OIG) of the UNC-CH School of Public Health.
The content of the curriculum was adapted from the National Training Institute for Child Care Health Consultants (NTI) training module, Caring for Children's Oral Health,, prepared by Rachel L. Abbey and the NTI staff.
The Healthy Smiles Through Child Care Health Consultation project is directed by Dr. Jonathan B. Kotch and coordinated by Tobie Barton, both of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's (UNC-CH) School of Public Health. The project was also guided by Sandra Cianciolo, NTI Project Coordinator; Alexandra Hopkins, Graduate Research Assistant; Jean M. Cimino, former Healthy Smiles Project Coordinator; and Bonnie Keith, former Graduate Research Assistant.
